Shannon Bennett’s restaurant Vue de Monde in Melbourne is testament to his belief that restaurant food can be a wondrous, unforgettable experience. Vue de Monde was awarded Restaurant of the Year, three hats and an unprecedented 19/20 in The Age Good Food Guide 2007. It later won three stars in the Australian Gourmet Traveller awards, as well as ‘Restaurant of the Year’.
Also an accomplished author, Shannon’s first two books My Vue and My French Vue are both in their second editions. He has followed these with Shannon Bennett’sParis (a personal guide to his favourite city), released in December 2009, Shannon Bennett’s New York in 2011, and his latest book 28 Days in Provence. In 2010 Shannon and a business partner purchased the old mansion of the Burnham Beeches Estate (Alfred Nicholas Gardens). They are creating a sustainable resort with hotel, spa, wellness centre, villas, café, bakery, function areas and restaurant all situated on approximately 25 hectares of stunning grounds.
Sky High is located on the peak of Mt Dandenong and from its circular balcony spectacular views of the Melbourne skyline from the Mornington Peninsular to the You Yangs can be enjoyed.
